Who we are
ICON Photonics proposes innovative high-performance optical coupling and packaging solutions for several applications : ultra-fast optical communications, quantum photonics, free-space communications, PIC, beam shaping… The company was founded in 2018 after more than 6 years of technology development on the optical coupling domain, which led to breakthrough solutions.

Our History
ICON Photonics is a spin-off of CNRS (National Research Center) & ESIEE Paris. The activity from the co-founders resulted in a breakthrough light coupling solution, engaging the creation of the company.
- 2014: first POCs, international patent deposit
- 2010 – 2017: Technology development, products, and ecosystem
- 2018: ICON Photonics registration, product development
- 2019: First customers
- 2020: Winner of i-Lab Grand Prize (top 10 french tech startups)

Our Facilities
The company has access to state-of-the-art cleanrooms, foundries and specific laboratories that host characterization platforms and equipments. It enables the company to develop a wide range of capabilities, including prototyping, characterization & testing, and production from small to medium size series volume.
This reinforces our ability to adapt and customize our knowledge to each specific application and development.
